Has anyone ever taken oral doses of Lamisil for treatment of a toenail fungus? - lamisil dosing

What were your side effects? I am a little nervous to take it.

Side Effects of Lamisil

Side effects can not be anticipated. If any develop or change in intensity, inform your doctor as soon as possible. Only your doctor can determine whether it is safe for you continue taking Lamisil.

Side effects of the cream and solution are uncommon. These include burning or irritation, itching, dryness, scaling and skin rash.

The tablets are slightly more likely to provoke a reaction:

Diarrhea, headache, indigestion, rash

Special warnings about Lamisil

Changes in the lens and retina of the eye have been reported in people taking Lamisil tablets. If you notice changes in your vision while taking the tablets, tell your doctor.

Lamisil tablets are known to cause rare cases of liver damage. If you develop symptoms such as nausea, anorexia, fatigue, or notify your doctor. Lamisil tablets are not recommended if you have liver or kidney disease.

If you suffer from autoimmune disease Lupus erythematosus, you will not be able to take Lamisil.

Lamisil tablets rarely causes skin reactions are very serious. If you develop a rash, worse, stop taking the tablets and call your doctor immediately.

If you develop a different kind of infection while taking Lamisil tablets, tell your doctor. Lamisil may decrease your ability to fight infection.

Do not use Lamisil cream or solution in the eyes, mouth, nose, or vagina. If accidental contact with eyes, rinse with tap water and call your doctor if symptoms persist.

If you develop a skin irritation, redness, itching, burning, blistering, swelling and oozing while using the cream or solution, please contact your doctor. Cover the treated area with dressings, whether it was as prescribed by your doctor.

Lamisil has not been tested for the safety of children.
Lamisil takes months of work (complete nail) must grow.


Personally, I would find the product stabilized allicin.
